Maury County Fire Department responded to early morning fire.

Maury County Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire at 12:57 a.m. this morning 12/31 on Canaan road.

Responding units engine 21, tankers 22, 30, 32, brush 32, Deputy 20 and Mount pleasant fire department engine 82 on automatic aid.

Units arrived to find an active fire with flames through the roof. A quick offensive fire attack contain the flames.

The family will be displaced into repairs can be made; however, most of the home was spared of major damage.

Red Cross was requested to assist the family. No injuries were reported.
