Child’s Bank Stolen From Home
Law enforcement officials opened an investigation Saturday after a child reported that someone had stolen his bank from inside his home.
Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department were dispatched to a Posey Circle, Iron City home Saturday shortly before 1:00 p.m.
The child’s father reported that either someone had taken his son’s railroad crossing bank sometime Friday or had entered their home during the night while the family slept.
Deputies found no sign of forced entry. Reports indicate that loss was in excess of $200.
