Lawrenceburg police officers were dispatched to the local State Probation office with reports of an intoxicated person passed out.

 

The Lawrenceburg police department was dispatched on Monday to the State Probation office on Buffalo Road in reference to a possible intoxicated person "passed out in the lobby" where arriving units entered the State facility to which they described observing a female subject with her eyes closed, head tilted back, and her mouth open.

The officers reported attempting to wake the female subject after announcing their presence along with shaking the woman where eventually police were able to wake the subject who exhibited slurred speech, and difficulty communicating.

After officers took the woman to a back room inside the facility she admitted to police that she had snorted 2 of her prescription Xanax along with Gabapentin earlier in the day where the female subject gave officers permission to search her belongings where police discovered an envelope containing 6 Xanax pills, and a straw.

The female subject was arrested on charges of public intoxication where she was transported to the Lawrence County jail.
