For immediate release:December 17th, 2025.

Approximately at 1:30 p.m. this afternoon the Lawrenceburg fire department was dispatched to a residential structure fire in the area of Walnut avenue.
While in route units were advised of multiple explosions on scene. When units arrived on scene they were met with heavy fire conditions coming from the basement and first floor, along with multiple secondary exposure fires.
Initially, crews encountered another significant explosion of a propane cylinder. Crews were able to make entry and conduct an aggressive interior tech, also conducting a primary search to ensure no occupants were inside these structure.
Crews were eventually removed and the attack was transition to defensive, due to deteriorating structural conditions. The fire was brought under control at approximately 3:30 p.m.
Units with the Lawrenceburg Fire Marshal's Office were on scene and start investigation for cause and origin. All further questions will need to be sent to the Fire Marshal's office.
