According to the Dickson Police Department, the 17-year-old victim — whose identity is not being released due to her age — was found near the intersection of Highway 70 East and Henslee Drive. She was brought to TriStar Skyline Medical Center, where she died from gunshot wounds
Officials said Hunter W. Jackson, 18, of Dickson, was in a relationship with the victim that recently ended. The investigation indicates Jackson allegedly met the girl in the parking lot of Dickson’s Kroger around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16, and she got into his vehicle.

Jackson allegedly left the scene.
