Columbia Police Department awarded Detective Jaimee Brown for his investigative work that led to the arrest of a suspect who stole $10,000.
On November 4th, 2024, Detective Jaimee Brown investigated a burglary at Exit 46 Travel Center, where the offender cut through the roof and stole $10,000 from an ATM. Despite minimal initial leads, Det. Brown identified a suspect using investigative tools and coordinated with other agencies, including the Murfreesboro Police Department, on a related case.
This led to a search warrant, the suspect's arrest, recovery of burglary evidence, and seizure of firearms. The offender is a convicted felon currently on parole for similar crimes.
