Tuesday Crime Report
Theft
A resident of Bonee Road reported to sheriff’s deputies Saturday that someone had stolen a Rossi 20 gauge with a 243 rifle and scope from an unlocked gun safe inside his home. It has an estimated value of $450.
Vehicle burglary
A teacher at Summertown High School reported to deputies Monday that his vehicle had been burglarized. He reported he had left the truck in a parking lot when it broke down on Saturday. He said that the vehicle was fine on Sunday. He dispatched a wrecker to retrieve the truck on Monday and was informed by the driver that the truck had been burglarized. The culprit had broken a window, stealing a set of golf clubs and two iPhones. Loss was estimated to total $1,100.
Burglary
Deputies were called to a home on Piney Road Monday where the resident reported someone had broken in while they had attended a ballgame. Reports indicate the culprit kicked in the rear door, but that nothing appeared to be missing. Damages totaled approximately $350.
