Tennessee Highway Patrol reports 2 first responders were injured in wreck on Sunday after their fire truck overturned in Wayne County.

 

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol the accident occurred on Sunday on Bear Creek Road in Wayne County when 2 first responders were involved in a wreck that caused their fire truck to overturn on it's side.

Reports indicate that both first responders were injured in the accident where they were transported to a nearby medical facility, and at this time there have been no further details released regarding the extent of their injuries.

TDOT reported the roadway was closed temporarily as a result of the wreck where motorists were advised to use caution while traveling in the area, and later that evening traffic returned to normal as the roadway was reopened.
