Lawrenceburg police officers responded to reports of burglary after a local man returned from a business trip to discover items stolen from within his vehicle.

 

 

Lawrenceburg police officers were dispatched to a residence on Park Ridge Drive in reference to a possible burglary where the male victim reported returning from a business trip to discover items missing from the trunk of his vehicle.

Officers spoke with the male victim, and his wife who stated that she had a neighbor fix her husband's vehicle that contained the now missing items where she did give the neighbor the keys to the car, and afterwards her husband returned to find items missing from within the trunk.

The victim reported the items stolen as a broken mac book pro, and two 8 inch speakers with a total loss of $900.

After officers spoke with the neighbor he denied stealing any items from the victim's vehicle where he admitted that he fixed the vehicle, but said that at no time did he have the keys to the car while repairing the vehicle.

At the time of the report there was no further details released pending an investigation, and reviewing nearby video surveillance that would show the victims vehicle.
