NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) arrested threemen from out-of-state who reportedly climbed to the top of the AT&T Batman building Sunday afternoon.
The men were spotted by someone on Broadway, who called the MNPD at 4:40 p.m. Sunday. Officers used binoculars and “saw one of the men adjacent to a spire of the building and later saw another lying down on the circular AT&T logo,” a press release added.
Once MNPD officers entered the building and went to the roof, though, they could not find anyone, nor could an MNPD helicopter. After conducting a floor-to-floor search of the building, authorities found them inside the men’s restroom on the 24th floor.
Jacob Thomas Cieszynski, 26, of Chicago; Chase Cooper Lester, 26, of Culloden, Georgia and Ryan James McGarrity, 20, of Laguna Woods, California were arrested for aggravated trespassing and disorderly conduct. Lester was also charged with possessing burglary tools after authorities found a crowbar and a screwdriver in his backpack.
“One of the men told officers that they had heard the AT&T Building was the best place to get a view of Nashville, so they entered and climbed the stairs to the roof,” the MNPD added in a Monday press release.
Authorities also seized several cameras from the men.
