Tuscaloosa man killed in crash involving farm equipment near Florence

LAUDERDALE COUNTY, Ala. — A Tuscaloosa man was killed Wednesday afternoon in a crash involving a pickup truck and a piece of farm equipment in north Alabama.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, 26-year-old Joshua D. Strozier was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado when it collided head-on with a 2017 John Deere S690 combine around 1:12 p.m. on Alabama Highway 20, about 11 miles west of Florence.

Troopers said Strozier was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the combine was not injured.

The ALEA Highway Patrol Division continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
