Fatal crash has been reported in Tennessee after vehicle plunged off of bridge.

Clarksville Tennessee Police Department along with THP have responded to a vehicle that left the roadway just before a bridge near mile marker 9.6 on I-24 Westbound and plunged into the river below.

The bridge is currently closed for several hours while authorities investigate what happened, and I-24 westbound is currently shut down with traffic being diverted to Exit 11.

The water temperature is around 55 degrees where
one of the first responders repelled down from the bridge, and now has confirmed at least one fatality.
