State Representative Clay Doggett presented a donation of $200,000 to the Tennessee Valley Weather Center in Lawrenceburg for their Weather Radar Foundation.
On Thursday State Representative Clay Doggett visited the Tennessee Valley Weather Center in Lawrenceburg to present them with a check for $200,000 for their Weather Radar Foundation of The Tennessee Valley.
According to WLX The Weather Radar Foundation of The Tennessee Valley is a 501 c3 which was organized in 2020 after Lawrence County was struck by two EF-1 tornados.
Doggett helped secure this donation as part of a 42.6 billion dollar balanced budget in May where the funds came from an Appropriation Grant.
This donation will be applied to the Radar Foundation's note for the Radar's total project cost.
The Foundation has completed one Doppler radar in Lawrenceburg and is the planning stages for their next phase in severe storm detection and analysation.
