Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies are investigating several cases of fuel being stolen in Summertown where holes are being drilled into the gas tank.

 

 

The Lawrence County sheriff's office responded to 2 reports of fuel theft in Summertown with deputies being dispatched to a residence on Turnpike Road where the victim stated that two holes had been drilled into the gas tank of their vehicle along with fuel being stolen from a lawnmower on property as well.

The second report of fuel theft occurred at a residence on Honeysuckle Lane where the victim also noticed that holes had been drilled into the gas tank of their vehicle to drain the fuel.

At the time of the reports there was no potential suspects where the Sheriff's office is requesting that if anyone has information regarding these two cases to please contact deputies at 931-762-3626.
