Lawrenceburg police officers were dispatched to North Locust Avenue after a female subject nearly got hit by a car when she stumbled into the roadway.

 

Lawrenceburg police officers were dispatched to the area of North Locust Avenue with reports of an intoxicated female subject walking along the road.

Upon arrival the officer observed the female subject who was unsteady on her feet as she began to walk into the roadway, and was nearly hit by a passing vehicle.

The officer reported a strong odor of alcohol coming from the subject who refused the officer's commands to get out of the road, and eventually the female subject had to be escorted by police out of the roadway.

The female subject was arrested on charges of public intoxication where she was transported to the Lawrence County jail.
