Columbia State Community College at the Lawrenceburg campus has partnered with CrossFlight Sky Solutions to offer Drone Pilot Training.
Columbia State Community College announced on their website on Tuesday that the College’s Office of Workforce and Continuing Education has partnered with CrossFlight Sky Solutions to offer the “Drone Pilot Training (Federal Aviation Regulations)” course at the Lawrenceburg campus.
The course will begin on December 9th of this year with the class being a 24 hour program that will start from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and the cost for the class is $670.
A description of the course was provided by Columbia State Community College where they stated, "The 24-hour program is designed to help students become familiar with the basics of becoming a Federal Aviation Administration Certified Remote Pilot in Command and enter the growing field of commercial drone operations. Following completion of the course, students will be ready to take the FAR 107 certification exam and upon receiving certification, safely operate drones for personal or professional use."
Registration for the course must be completed by November 24th where students must provide a valid driver's license to register.
