Maury County Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire with reports of heavy smoke coming from the second floor.

 

Maury County Fire Department released the following information on Friday:

"Units responded to a structure fire yesterday morning just after 0700 on Greasy Branch Rd in the Culleoka community.

Upon arrival units found smoke showing from the second floor and commenced an offensive fire attack. Units encountered high heat conditions from a well involved second floor fire that was hard to access due to tongue and groove construction and wooden knee walls.

Units operated for an extended period of time with two hand lines on the second floor before bringing the fire under control. Members worked tirelessly accessing hidden pockets of fire under extreme conditions.

No injuries were reported and the family was displaced."
