Local business reports $10,000 worth of damages after a male suspect with an out of State warrant, and suspended license drove into the side of the store.

Lawrenceburg police officers were dispatched to Shan's One Stop on West Gaines Street with reports that a silver car had drove into the side of the store.

Upon arrival officers located the driver of the silver car Mr. Milledge who told police that he only hit the concrete parking bumper not the side of the store, but the officer reported visible damage to the side of the store with cracks along the wall as well as a large dent matching the height of the suspect's vehicle.

A witness reported hearing a loud crashing sound then seeing the silver car backing up away from the side of the store where the car had in fact made contact with the wall, and once the officer told Milledge that there was a witness the suspect admitted that he had hit the store's outer wall with his car.

The officer discovered that Milledge was driving on a suspended license out of Iowa as well as having an active warrant in Nebraska for failure to appear, and the suspect was placed under arrest on charges of driving on a suspended license.

The owner of the store later obtained an estimate for the damages that totaled in $10,000.
