Lawrenceburg police officers arrested a local man after receiving reports of a disturbance on Claymar Drive, and witnessing a truck traveling along the roadway with the passenger door open.

 

 

As Lawrenceburg police officers were responding to Claymar Drive with reports of a disturbance the officer noticed a red Ford F-150 truck traveling along the roadway with the passenger door open where once the officer was near the vehicle the door was immediately closed, and then began accelerating speed away from the officer.

The officer iniated a traffic stop where he spoke with the male driver, and female passenger to inquire as to way the occupants were traveling along the roadway with the passenger door open as well to determine if the disturbance call regarding a verbal altercation was them.

The officer reported that both occupants had conflicting stories as to why the passenger door was open, but both denied that an altercation ever took place.

While identifying the occupants the female passenger was cleared of any warrants, but the male driver was operating a motor vehicle on a DUI suspended driver's license.

The male driver was arrested on driving on a suspended license where he was transported to the Lawrence County jail, and his truck was impounded.
