Maury County Sheriff's Office is warning residents about scam involving impersonation of Deputies or personal from their agency.

The scammer may call you claiming there is a warrant for your arrest, that you missed jury duty, or you must pay a fine to avoid legal action. This is a scam.

Please be advised of the following:

We will never ask for money over the phone.

We will never request payment to avoid arrest.

We will never ask for gift cards, wire transfers, or other forms of payment.

If you receive a call from someone claiming to be with the Maury County Sheriff's Office please hang up and call their main office number at 931-388-5151 to verify the legitimacy of the call.
