Arrest Made in the Good Spirits Robbery Incident

On October 29, 2025, officers with the Florence Police Department responded to a report of a robbery at 1346 Pine Street; Good Spirits. The suspect fled prior to the officer’s arrival. The male suspect stole cash from the store. There were no injuries reported as a result of the robbery.

Following an extensive investigation by our Criminal Investigations Division, a search warrant was obtained for the residence of Desmond Peters and Jennifer Duster in connection with the robbery.

During the evening hours of October 29th, the Florence-Lauderdale SWAT Team assisted the Criminal Investigation Division in executing a search warrant at a residence on the 200 block of Mitchell Street. During the search, a large amount of marijuana and cocaine was located within the residence along with drug paraphernalia. Initially, Peters and Duster were each charged with one count of Possession of Marijuana in the 2nd degree, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute. After processing evidence located during the execution of the search warrant, an arrest warrant was issued for Desmond Peters and Jennifer Duster to formally charge them for the robbery at Good Spirits.

Both subjects are booked into the Lauderdale County Detention Center and being held without bond pending an Aniah’s Law hearing. They are charged with the following:

Jennifer Duster: Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, and Robbery 1st Degree.

Desmond Peters: Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute, and Robbery 1st Degree.
