Forgotten Purse Stolen From Porch On Spring Avenue
A Lawrenceburg woman filed a complaint with law enforcement officers Tuesday evening after discovering that her purse had been stolen.
The victim, age 65, reported to officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department that she had visited her daughter at a home on Spring Avenue.
When she left a little after 8:00 p.m., she said she inadvertently left her purse sitting between two chairs on the porch. She said she returned to retrieve it a few minutes later, but that it was missing.
The victim told officers that she had not seen anyone take her purse, but said that she had noticed two men walking along the street during the same time period.
Loss in the case was said to be $260.
