Ethridge Fire & Rescue Announces Acquisition
of Property for Second Fire Station

Ethridge Fire & Rescue is proud to announce a major milestone in our commitment to public
safety with the official acquisition of property for a second fire station within the Ethridge Fire
District. Dirt work on the project began today, marking the first major step toward bringing
this important addition to our community closer to reality.
This project is the result of extensive planning and addresses the growing need for expanded
emergency services throughout our district. The new station will allow us to strategically
position personnel and equipment, significantly reducing emergency response times for residents
in the surrounding areas. Every minute matters when lives and property are at stake, and this new
facility will strengthen our ability to serve our community when it matters most.
The property is located on Ethridge Redhill Road, immediately behind Crossroad Market. As
part of this exciting development, the new station will carry the address “26 Mark Fields Way.”
We would like to extend a special Thank You to Candice Fields and families for allowing us to use this
address. Her generosity and support are greatly appreciated and will forever be a part of this
important project for our community.
We are also deeply grateful for the cooperation and assistance of the Lawrenceburg Utility
System (LUS), whose support was instrumental in making this property acquisition possible.
“The addition of a second station is transformative for our district,” said Chief Nathan Keeton.
“This project will allow us to better position our resources, improve response times, and provide
a higher level of service to the residents we proudly serve. It is an investment in the future,
safety, and well-being of our entire community.”
An additional benefit: Improving Insurance Ratings and Saving Homeowners Money
The new station is expected to help improve fire protection coverage and support an improved
Insurance Services Office (ISO) Public Protection Classification rating. Our goal is for every
home within a five-mile radius of the new station to be eligible for the benefits associated with a
Class 4 insurance rating, which could result in lower homeowners insurance premiums. Actual
eligibility and savings will depend on the applicable insurance classification, individual
insurance company, and policy.
Ethridge Fire & Rescue operates entirely on a 100% volunteer basis. Our department depends
on the dedication of our volunteer firefighters and the continued generosity of our community.
Donations are always appreciated and help cover essential operating expenses, equipment
purchases, and training. These investments strengthen our department and help us continue
working toward improved fire protection and insurance ratings for the community.
The acquisition of this property and the beginning of dirt work represent exciting progress
toward a safer future for Ethridge. We look forward to sharing additional updates as the project
moves through the planning, funding, and construction phases.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Ethridge Fire & Rescue and continues helping make this project possible.
Together, we are building a stronger, safer community and one that is better prepared to protect the lives, homes, and property of the people we serve.
