Lawrence County Sheriffs Office are looking for a storage unit theif who broke into a unit belonging to a State Trooper, and may be responsible for a string of break ins.

According to reports on October 7th surveillance footage captured a male suspect driving a red Dodge Caravan into a storage unit facility on Prosser Road, and Highway 64 in Lawrence County.

The Lawrence County Sheriffs Office told Andy Cordan with WKRN that the male suspect pulled up to a unit belonging to a Tennessee State Trooper where he used bolt cutters to break the padlock, and then began loading stolen items into his van.

The theif managed to grab tools, ammunition, hunting equipment, and according to the Sheriff a guitar that held alot of sentimental value that had been signed by several country music stars.

The incident wasn't discovered until Wednesday, October 20th where the Lawrence County Sheriffs Office is currently investigating the case along with 5 or 6 similar storage unit break ins that have occured over the past few months.

The Sheriff's Office is looking for the storage unit thief who could be responsible for the other break ins where bolt cutters were also used on units containing padlocks.
