State Senator Page Walley announced that the Tennessee State Museum has awarded a $13,000 grant to Loretto Lift-Up in Lawrence County.

The funding will support preservation and enhancement efforts at the community organization, which promotes the area’s history, music, and natural heritage.

Walley said the grant recognizes the importance of small, community-driven groups in preserving local heritage and supporting families in the region.

Loretto Lift-Up is a nonprofit focused on strengthening families and fostering collaboration among residents, businesses, and organizations to enhance quality of life in the community.

The Tennessee General Assembly made the funding possible through a $5 million allocation for museum grants to qualifying nonprofit and government-affiliated organizations for capital maintenance and improvements.
