Renovation Permit Fees Waived In Historical Area Of Lawrenceburg
Members of the Lawrenceburg Board of Mayor and Council have voted to waive permit fees for renovations in a historic area of the city for the next five years.
Council members voted during a meeting Thursday to waive permit fees associated with renovations undertaken in the Historical Zoning Overlay of the Lawrenceburg Public Square. This includes properties along North and South Military Avenue and other areas adjacent to the public square.
Mayor Keith Durham said that the council is hopeful that this will encourage property owners to conduct renovations in that area at the same time that renovations will be made to properties located on the public square.
