Congratulations to the Lawrence County High School Band.

The Big Gold Machine received all SUPERIOR RATINGS in band performance, color guard, percussion and Drum Major, at the Forrest Tournament of Champions on Saturday, October 22, 2023 hosted by Forrest High School in Chapel Hill, Tennessee.

They finished in 2nd Place in Class C behind Centennial High School Band, This was the band's last contest of the season. Band director Darrell Boston stated, "I am extremely proud of what these kids have accomplished this season. They have worked hard and improved each week.

Our scores improved with each contest. That is what we wanted to do. Each time we take the field we make something better. Great way to end our competition season closing out with all superiors." Congratulations once again to the Big Gold Machine.
