Woman Attempts To Steal Doctor’s Stethoscope
Law enforcement officers issued a citation to a woman last week who allegedly attempted to steal a doctor’s stethoscope during an office visit.
Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department were summoned to 1605 South Locust Avenue Thursday afternoon to investigate the allegations.
Security personnel reported that while in the office of Dr. Norman McNulty earlier, Tina Louise Brymer, 45, of 1427 Park Lane, Pulaski had taken the doctor’s stethoscope from a counter and placed it inside her purse.
Security personnel said that the doctor had searched for the stethoscope and that Brymer was eventually asked to open her purse, revealing that it was inside.
Brymer, who gave a written confession, told officers that she had taken the stethoscope as a Christmas gift for her daughter, who is a nursing student.
Brymer was issued a citation charging her with the crime of theft. She is required to appear in Lawrence County General Sessions Court on November 7, 2014.
