Lady Eagles Volleyball Statebound
The Summertown High School Lady Eagles clinched victory last night and earned a spot in the TSSAA State Tournament.
The Lady Eagles won a hard fought battle against Eagleville High School. The sub state matchup was played at Eagleville high school last night in front of a large home crowd.
The Lady Eagles from Eagleville won the first game 25-16. Summertown battled back in the next two games and won 25-16 and 25-14.
Eagleville did not give up and won the 4th game 25-15. The match was decided with the Summertown Lady Eagles winning 18-16 in the 5th game.
The Lady Eagles from Summertown were led by McKenzie Kilburn with 25 kills, Sara Beasley with 10 kills and 9 aces, and Kristin Caperton with 4 aces.
The Lady Eagles will begin playing in the State Tournament in Murfreesboro on Wednesday.
