Thefts Reported From Weekend Flea Markets
Investigations were initiated in past days when vendors and a customer reported thefts from a flea market event in the Ethridge area.
On Friday three vendors reported someone had stolen items from outside their flea market booths. The items, including glassware, a pick axe, scrap metal, folding table, metal shelf, and wagon hub, were taken from where they had been left unsecured outside the locations.
A patron of an Ethridge Flea Market reported Sunday that his coat, with his medication in the pocket, had been stolen out of his locked vehicle while at the location on Saturday.
Reports filed by Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies indicate that losses from both instances were in excess of $200.
