A local woman contacted Lawrenceburg police officers after a motorist veered into her lane striking her vehicle, and then sped away.

 

Lawrenceburg police officers were dispatched to the scene of an accident in the area of North Locust Avenue with reports of a hit and run.

The responding officer spoke with the female victim who stated that she was traveling along North Locust Avenue when a Chevy Malibu with tinted windows veered into her lane striking her vehicle, and then sped away fleeing the scene.

A bolo was issued to dispatch for the motorist for hit and run, leaving the scene of an accident, and failure to report.

At the time of the report authorities are still searching for the hit and run motorist.
