A Tennessee teen was charged Monday night after demolishing a home with his car.

18-year-old Jayden Ingersoll is facing charges after he crashed a car into a Powell home late Monday night where the car went into the side of a home on Fieldstone Farms Lane around 11 a.m.

The crash prompted a response from several agencies, but Rural Metro reported that no one was injured in the crash, even though there was a person inside the house and two other passengers in the car.

The arrestee advised that he was traveling approximately 100 mph in a 30 mph zone when he topped a hill just west of Fieldstone Farms Lane before leaving the roadway.

Ingersoll admitted that he normally drives that same route at an extremely high rate of speed, and car’s two passengers also told police they asked Ingersoll to slow down multiple times, but he refused.

The report also said that, after the car clipped a tree and hit the house, the speedometer was stuck at 60 mph.

Ingersoll has been charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and vandalism.
