A Tennessee Highway Patrol Trooper was arrested on Monday for DUI.

 

 

The Paris police department arrested Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper Daryl Veliz on Monday after the off duty trooper was found to be driving under the influence.

Veliz was arrested on charges of driving under the influence, refusal of implied consent, and possession of a weapon while intoxicated.

After the incident Veliz was placed on paid discretionary leave pending an internal investigation.
