Fire Prevention Week 2026

This year for Fire Prevention Week we decided to host an in station Fire Safety Class for Children at three of our fire stations in the County.

The number of children that participated in the classes was relatively low, but we think it’s safe to say that the everyone had fun, and most importantly we all learned about fire safety. One classes even got to see that a fire really can happen at any time as their fire safety class was interrupted by a structure fire response.

We want to thank some people who were instrumental in making these fire safety classes happen.

First and foremost we want to thank the parents who brought their children to the fire stations, and actively participated in the training that could save their children’s life in the future.

We would like to thank the Cayla Bartoszek State Farm Agency for donating the fire safety class materials and goodies for the children that attended.

We would like to thank the Fire Stations that hosted the fire safety classes.

We would also like to thank the Lawrence County EMS crew at the Ethridge Station for jumping in and assisting with the class that was held at the Ethridge Fire Station.
