Three men are facing multiple felony charges following an armed robbery at a Franklin home Friday night.

Just after 11 p.m. on Friday, October 9, Franklin Police officers responded to a home in northeast Franklin following a report of an armed robbery. Investigators determined the incident was connected to jewelry that had been advertised for sale on Facebook Marketplace.
The three suspects fled the area but were located by responding officers a short time later. Following a vehicle pursuit, all three suspects were apprehended and taken into custody.
Arrested were:
Ivan Lagos-Espinoza, 22, of Nashville
Jose Paiz-Godoy, 23, of Nashville
Rubel Rodriguez-Lisa, 19, of Lebanon
The three are charged with multiple offenses, including aggravated robbery, felony evading, and tampering with evidence.
The Franklin Police Department would like to thank the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office for its assistance in the investigation and apprehension of the suspects.
This incident also serves as an important reminder about safety when buying or selling items through Facebook Marketplace and other online platforms.
Franklin Police recommend taking the following precautions:
-Meet in a public place. Avoid inviting strangers to your home or going to someone else’s residence to complete a transaction.
-Choose a well-lit, populated location, preferably one with surveillance cameras.
-Consider meeting at a police department or other law enforcement facility when exchanging valuable items.
-Bring someone with you whenever possible, especially when selling high-value merchandise.
-Avoid carrying large amounts of cash.
-Be cautious when selling expensive items. Jewelry, electronics, and other high-value merchandise can make sellers attractive targets for criminals.
-Trust your instincts. If something about the buyer, seller or proposed meeting location does not feel right, cancel the transaction.
-Do not share unnecessary personal information, including details about your home, schedule or other valuables you may possess.
The investigation remains ongoing.
