Loretto Man Arrested In Salvage Yard Theft
A Loretto man was taken into custody Thursday in the wake of an investigation into thefts from a local salvage yard reported in August.
Reports filed through the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department on August 5 show that deputies investigated the theft of a Polaris 400 Sportsman four wheeler, weed eater and leaf blower from B&K Salvage. The items had a combined valued of $3,750.
Owners reported that the ATV had been locked inside a building at the time of the theft. The culprit apparently locked the doors upon his exit. Deputies found no sign of forced entry.
Department detectives have continued to investigate the crime. On Thursday they arrested Adam Todd Tucker, 34, of 20 Old Glendale Road, Loretto on charges of burglary, theft of property, and criminal trespassing.
