A police pursuit involving 3 suspects in a stolen vehicle resulted in officers deploying spike strips to stop the reckless driver who hit multiple law enforcement and civilian vehicles.
According to the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office the pursuit occured on Tuesday morning when deputies were in the process of recovering stolen equipment when they noticed a stolen vehicle that was hauling a trailer traveling down the roadway, and a chase began after deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop where the motorist refused to pull over.
During the pursuit the motorist swerved at multiple law enforcement vehicles where there was reports of atleast one officer being injured, and was transported to a medical facility for treatment.
Metro Nashville police department also assisted in the pursuit with officers deploying spike strips where the chase eventually ended on Old Hickory Boulevard and Gallatin Pike when the motorist crashed the stolen vehicle.
There was 2 men and a woman inside the stolen vehicle where injuries were reported, and suspects were taken to the hospital before they could be transported to jail.
Authorities also reported multiple civilian vehicles were also damaged during the pursuit with several individuals being transported for medical care.
