A man was arrested after impersonating a first responder in Lawrence County and providing medical care to a senior citizen.

On September 30th Lawrence County Sheriff's Office was on a call of an elderly woman having medical issues when a man that was not with medical personnel showed up at the home.
The resident of the home reported that a man, who was identified as Anthony Pedigo, peeked in the door, the resident asked if he was with the ambulance where the man claimed he was a Maury County volunteer firefighter.
The resident also reported that Pedigo had his shirt off which made him really stand out like he didn't belong with medical personnel and he kept making mistakes.
The Fire Chief on the call took down Pedigo's tag number, and less than a week after the incident Pedigo was arrested for impersonating a licensed professional which is a class E felony.
Pedigo told the deputy there were people out in the yard flagging down help and that helping people is in his blood.
Once he stopped Pedigo then noticed a man in a fire truck show up so he just helped with writing down vitals, and denied checking vitals signs.
Pedigo in the past had began a program as an explorer at one of the volunteer departments where he was terminated from that program due to some issues with not following rules, chain of command as well as having an arrest history that dates back 17 years which includes aggravated assault and Methamphetamine charges.
Currently Pedigo is being held in jail without bond while the investigation continues.
