The Loretto Police Department reported that an individual from out of town suffered a medical emergency where Investigator Gary Mills, Constable Randy Tucker, and Nurse Morgan Gerhart quickly stepped in to render life saving aid.

The Loretto Police Department released the following statement regarding the medical emergency that occurred on Friday:

"On Friday October 2nd a visitor from out of town suffered a medical emergency at a local restaurant. Investigator Gary Mills, Constable Randy Tucker, and nurse Morgan Gerhart, who were already at the restaurant, immediately rendered aid and began CPR. The patient was able to be revived and stabilized for the responding EMS unit. We are happy to report officers checked on the patient later in the evening and they were stable.

When you commit to a life of serving others you’re never really “off duty” and we are especially thankful for Morgan proving once again this is true.

We highly suggest you become CPR certified. You never know when you will save a stranger or family member’s life. Simply search “how to become CPR certified” and chose one of the multiple outlets available to learn this life saving skill."
