Tennessee Governor Bill Lee is praying for President Donald Trump, and First Lady Melania after they confirmed on Twitter that they have tested positive for COVID-19.

Early Friday morning President Donald Trump, and First Lady Melania Trump confirmed on their Twitter accounts that they have tested positive for COVID-19.

President Donald Trump stated the following on his Twitter:

"Tonight, @Flotus, and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine, and recovery process immediately. We will get through this together!"

First Lady Melania Trump released a similar statement to her Twitter where she said:

"As too many Americans have done this year @Potus and I are quarantining at home together after testing positive for COVID-19. We are feeling good & I have postponed all upcoming engagements. Please be sure you are staying safe & we will all get through this together."

Following the news their was many taking to Twitter to wish the President, and First Lady a speedy recovery including Tennessee Governor Bill Lee who issued the following statement on his Twitter:

"@MarialeeTN and I are praying for President Trump and First Lady Melania's swift recovery and for all others affected by this virus."

White House Physician Sean P. Conley also released the following letter with permission regarding the positive test:

"FROM: SEAN P. CONLEY, DO, FACEP, PHYSICIAN TO THE PRESIDENT, COMMANDER, U.S. NAVY

SUBJECT: President Donald J. Trump & First Lady Melania Trump’s COVID-19 Tests

I release the following information with the permission of President Donald J. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.

This evening I received confirmation that both President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump have tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

The President and First Lady are both well at this time, and they plan to remain at home within the White House during their convalescence.

The White House medical team and I will maintain a vigilant watch, and I appreciate the support provided by some of our country’s greatest medical professionals and institutions.

Rest assured I expect the President to continue carrying out his duties without disruption while recovering, and I will keep you updated on any future developments."
