A 16 year old Teen was tragically killed in a car crash in Lawrence County.

16 year old Emily Hunt died on Saturday after being involved in a single-vehicle crash in Lawrence County around 8:15 p.m.

According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the teenager was driving north on Danley Road when she failed to negotiate a right curve resulting in her vehicle driving off the roadway and crashing into an embankment.

The car then struck multiple trees and rotated before coming to a stop which sadly took the teenagers life.

Loretto High School issued the following statement about the beloved teen:

"We are so saddened by Emily’s passing. She will truly be missed in the halls of LHS. Please keep her family & friends in your prayers."
