Lawrence County EMS along with Gandy Volunteer firefighters, and the THP responded to a fatal crash on Friday morning.

On Friday morning around 5:00 a.m. firefighters with the Gandy Volunteer Fire Department along with Lawrence County EMS, and the Tennessee Highway Patrol were all dispatched to area of West Point Road, and Waterloo Road with reports of a single vehicle crash.

Upon arrival units discovered that one male victim driving in a Honda model vehicle had wrecked into a tree, and sadly was pronounced dead at the scene.

Through investigating the crash it was believed that the male victim was traveling North on West Point Road when the wreck occurred.

At this time the identity of the deceased has yet to be released where the crash is under investigation through the Tennessee Highway Patrol.
