Lawrence County Sheriff's Office investigated an anonymous tip that lead to the seizure of Methamphetamine and over $3,000 in cash.

 

On September 2nd investigators with the Lawrence County Narcotics Unit followed up on the tip at a residence on Adams Road.

Authorities said the owner of the residence gave investigators consent to search the property where investigators reportedly found a burn pile containing burned marijuana plants in the backyard.

A search inside the residence resulted in the discovery of what authorities described as a felony amount of methamphetamine and $3,437 in cash.

The methamphetamine was taken into evidence and the money was seized.

Marci Ann Pylant was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, manufacturing for delivery or sale of Schedule VI drugs and tampering with evidence.

The Sheriff’s Office said the investigation confirmed the validity of the anonymous tip and encouraged residents to continue using the anonymous tip line available through the Sheriff’s Office app.
