The Lawrence County Board of Education will meet Thursday, Sept. 25, at 5 p.m. Items on the agenda include the election of officers and a capital projects update from ESG.
The board will also consider a series of consent items, including adoption of the agenda, approval of minutes from the Aug. 21 meeting, the business report, volunteers, and several overnight field trips.
Those include basketball tournaments for Lawrence County High School, Loretto High School, and Summertown High School; softball tournaments in Alabama; and Beta Club and CTE Virtual Enterprise events in Nashville and Murfreesboro. Report items scheduled include a safety report, personnel report, director’s update, Lawrence County Education Association update, and Tennessee Legislative Network update. Budget discussions will center on 2026 health insurance premiums.
Other items for consideration include adding land for an ambulance station on North Brace Road, naming the Loretto High School stadium, the annual agenda, an Ingram Sowell pilot medication program, and winter sports schedules. The next regular board meeting is scheduled for Oct. 23 at 5 p.m.
