Lawrence County Fire & Rescue Tennessee

Members of several Lawrence County Fire Rescue stations along with members of the Loretto Fire Department gathered yesterday evening for a propane emergencies class that was hosted by Thompson Gas Company.

The training at the Thompson Gas facility in Loretto was very informative for our personnel. Fire Department personnel were provided hands on training about safety devices and emergency shut off features on propane transport vehicles, bulk facilities, and even smaller residential propane storage tanks.

The staff at Thompson Gas also outlined their emergency action plans for propane related emergencies, and provided our personnel with updated emergency contact information for their local leadership.

We want to thank our local Thompson Gas office for hosting this very important training class annually.

The staff at this office has been a lifeline for us over the past few years in situations when we were unable to make contact with the responsible parties or other vendors after hours during our response to propane emergencies. They have always answered the phone for us, and responded when requested to assist us in making a propane storage device safe. For that, we are grateful.
