Store Will Seek Summons In Shoplifting Incident
Officials with a local retailer told law enforcement officers Wednesday that they will be seeking a summons in connection with a shoplifting incident that occurred that afternoon.
Officers with the Lawrenceburg Police Department were dispatched to Fred’s Super Dollar on North Locust Avenue around 2:30 where an employee reported a woman had shoplifted items from the sidewalk in front of the store.
The employee reported that a woman had taken three tiki torches then began to walk away. An employee of Shoe Show said that she saw the woman putting the items into her car and asked whether she had paid for them. The items had a value of approximately $9.
The Fred’s employee expressed her intent to obtain a copy of the report along with a criminal summons, requiring that the woman answer the charge in court.
