Drugs And Paraphernalia Found During Recent Arrests
Local law enforcement officers report finding drugs and drug paraphernalia in the possession of individuals who were recently arrested while they were serving warrants.
Lawrence County Sheriff's deputies report that while serving a warrant on Deller Street for violation of probation, the woman arrested was found to have a meth pipe that bore drug residue concealed inside her bra. Jazzmin Renee Wilson, age 21, was arrested on the outstanding violation of probation charge. She was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
While serving a warrant on forty-three year old Kenneth Wayne Eddins, Jr., on Overnack Road, deputies report finding two morphine pills in his pocket. He was also in possession of two syringes and a spoon
While arresting Eddins, deputies report that George Katevas, age 46, pulled into the driveway. They report that he repeatedly placed his hands in his pockets, prompting them to question him.
He told them that he only had a small knife in his pocket. For their safety, deputies report Katevas was frisked, and they discovered that he had a hard object inside one of his pockets.
Katevas reportedly became uncooperative and combative. He was arrested for disorderly conduct after which deputies discovered that he had four pocket knives concealed in his pocket.
