A manhunt continues in Kentucky for Joseph Couch who is believed to have shot 5 people near interstate 75.
Laurel County Kentucky Sheriff's Office have issued a manhunt for 32 year old Joseph Couch who is believed to have shot and wounded five people near Interstate 75 on Saturday.
At this time authorities have not officially named Couch as a suspect but a person of interest in the shooting.
Authorities are now searching for him in a remote area north of London, a community of about 8,000 people roughly 75 miles south of Lexington.
As many as 40 to 50 people were involved with law enforcement in the search for the suspect where the London-Laurel Rescue squad sent a drone equipped with thermal imaging technology to assist with the search.
The Laurel County Public School district posted on Facebook Sunday that school will be closed on Monday as authorities continue the search for the suspect.
The sheriff says that a silver SUV registered to Couch was found Saturday night and authorities found a rifle case inside an "AR rifle" was then found today near where the car was found.
At this time Couch still remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous.
Citizens are asked to remain vigilant and report anything suspicious.
