Thursday Crash Claims Local Pastor

   A crash in Wayne County claimed the life of a former Lawrence County pastor Thursday afternoon.

   Reports filed through the Tennessee Highway Patrol indicate that the crash occurred at 3:22 p.m. along U.S. Highway 64. Forrest Wayne Lineberry, 64, of Clifton, was reportedly westbound on the highway  when he veered off the roadway and struck a guardrail. Lineberry’s vehicle then reportedly traveled into a wooded area and struck a large tree.

   Lineberry is the former pastor of both Henryville and Highland United Methodist Churches.

   Funeral services will be conducted Sunday in Clifton.
