Road Construction Notice for Lawrence County Motorists

The Lawrence County Roads Department will conduct road construction on Rabbit Town Road, Fairview Road, and New Hope Road during the week of August 31.

Residents and commuters traveling through these areas are encouraged to use caution, watch for road crews and equipment, and allow extra travel time due to possible delays.

Motorists are also reminded of Tennessee’s Move Over Law. When approaching law enforcement, emergency vehicles, road crews, or stationary vehicles displaying flashing or hazard lights, drivers should:

• Move over to an adjacent lane when it is safe to do so.
• Slow down significantly and proceed with caution when changing lanes is not possible or safe.
